The mid waist combined with a shorter crotch means the crotch line isn't as low as in typical loose cuts, so these jeans hug the buttocks better and accentuate their shape. The higher-placed back pockets also visually emphasise the rear and give it a more sculpted look. As a result, despite the wide, loose legs, the figure keeps its feminine proportions.
